Dr. Shahbaz Khan, Deputy Director, UNESCO Jakarta-Indonesia called upon the President ECO Science Foundation, Prof. Dr. Manzoor H. Soomro on 2nd December 2014. The arrangement regarding forthcoming one day international conference on "Developing the roadmap on Engineering Qualifications Standardization" to be held on 10 January 2015 was reviewed during the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention that UNESCO in collaboration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) has planned an international meeting on engineering qualifications standardizations. The meeting will provide an opportunity to the stakeholders to discuss and identify the gaps in engineering qualifications standardization and develop a roadmap towards qualified and internationally recognized engineers in the country as well as in the ECO region.

The experts from ECO region will also participate in the meeting.
