Call for Participation: Workshop on STI at COMSTECH in Nov 2014

COMSTECH (The Ministerial Standing Committee of Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Scientific and Technological Cooperation), Islamabad is inviting applications for a week long intensive training course on "Design of Science, Technology and Innovation Policies for OIC Member States" from November 10 to 14, 2014.

The course will be mainly delivered by Professor Adam Szirmai (Professorial Fellow at UNU-MERIT, and Professor at Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, Maastricht University, The Netherlands), Dr. Lorraine Warren (Director of Centre for Strategic Innovation, and Senior Lecturer in Innovation School of Management, University of Southampton, UK) and Dr. Hammad Akbar (Professor at Department of Business Administration, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia) in collaboration with the training staff of COMSTECH, Islamabad.

Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy planners, graduate students of innovation policy, analysts and researchers working in public and private sectors are the main focus of this training course.

COMSTECH will provide local hospitality (board and lodging) and air ticket to a limited number of participants form OIC member states other than Pakistan. Airport pick-and-drop service is also provided on arrival and departure.

Deadline for applications from foreign candidates is September 7, 2014 and September 30, 2014 for candidates from Pakistan.
